Hi!
Thanks for visiting our site. Pam
is an ALACE-trained birth doula practicing since 2006. She has lived in
Cincinnati for over 30 years and has two children, a boy and a girl. She received her bachelor’s degree in business
management from U.C. 2006 and has worked in the veterinary industry
since 1998. She is treasurer
and a founding member of Cincinnati
Area Doula Society, as well as a board member of Ohio Families for Safe Birth.
She is actively involved in the homebirth community, ICAN (International Cesarean
Awareness Network) and La Leche League. She
believes that very woman's pregnancy and birth are unique, but all
women and couples deserve to understand all their options and receive
evidence-based information with which to make confident decisions. She
believes that, especially with support and encouragement, birth can be
a journey to discovering who we are as women and a way to connect with
our inner strength. Lorie
is a wife and mother who received her bachelor’s degree in mental
health and human resources in 2004. She worked in the case management
field until 2006 when she became a mother of a beautiful son birthed at
home, during a complicated labor. This experience ignited her passion
for natural childbirth and a woman’s right to have a safe and
supported birth where and how she chooses. In 2009, she had a sweet
baby girl water-birthed at home. Lorie attended the “to
Labor” doula training in May of 2010. Pam and Lorie
began working
together in 2011 to provide education and support to mothers and
families during the childbearing year.
